Why it works this way
No translation, on purpose
Meaning arrives through a drawing and a recording. Reading a kana word and then reaching for English is a habit that has to be unlearned later, so the course never builds it.
Every word is spoken
Each kana and each course word is a recorded clip, not a synthesised one played at you once. Tap anything on screen to hear it again.
It remembers for you
Everything you meet is scheduled for review on its own timetable, just before you would have forgotten it. You never decide what to revise.
Coming back is not a punishment
Return after two weeks away and Himari does not hand you a backlog of hundreds. It picks one honest session, quietly reschedules the rest, and says nothing about the arithmetic.
